京都府景観資産第1号や日本遺産にも選ばれた石寺地区の茶畑景観です。鎌倉時代から800年続く和束茶産業のアイコンとして、様々なメディアに取り上げられています。急傾斜の丘陵地帯を覆う緑色のグラデーション、お茶の甘味を引き出すためにかぶせられた黒白の覆い布、ぽつぽつと立ち並ぶ防霜ファン、広大な大空が組み合わさって織りなすその光景は、多くの観光客を魅了しています。

This is a tea plantation landscape in the Ishidera district that has been selected as Kyoto Prefecture’s No. 1 Scenic Asset and a Japanese Heritage Site. It has been featured in various media as an icon of the Wazuka tea industry, which has continued for 800 years since the Kamakura period. The combination of the green gradation covering the steep hills, the black and white cloth used to bring out the sweetness of the tea, the frost fans standing here and there, and the vast expanse of sky creates a scene that attracts many tourists.
